
When I graze, that is eating a little and often, I don’t really get that hungry. That’s because I’m topping up with eating now and again. Eating between meals is a pleasure. Biscuits, snacks, anything really.
But if I’m going to make a change I need to stop all, or at least some of that. And that means my stomach is going to complain. It’s gonna say “feed me!” It’s gonna grumble and it’s gonna moan. It’s gonna say, “I’m so hungry, I normally have a snack about now.”
My tummy is gonna grumble. So I need to train my tummy. I need to get used to feeling hungry. Weird I know, coz now when I feel hungry, which isn’t often, I eat something.
I need to train my tummy so that it expects to feel hungry towards the end of the period between meals. And if it feels hungry between meals, hard luck. Get used to it.
And the good news is that after a while, it does. Get used it that is.
And my tummy gets smaller. So it expects less. So then it grumbles less.
