The Beach Diet is all about changing behaviours in eating. This approach means treating eating as a behaviour. In order to manage our weight we need to manage what we eat.
We can break down this into three behaviours; What we eat, How much we eat, and How often we eat.
The Beach Diet approach means taking a look at what you do now and identifying behaviours that would make a difference.
You can read how other people have done this in the stories section.
Behavioural change can be a very difficult thing to do. It sounds easy, to stop eating this or that. But the reasons behind why we eat this or that can be very complex. It’s important not to underestimate the challenge of changing a behaviour.
So a good tip is to choose something that you feel is relatively easy. I can’t tell you what this is. It’s up to you. But if you can find a behaviour which you feel would be relatively easy to change, or at least the easiest of the ones you identify, then that would be a good place to start.
For me it was nibbling on crisps whilst preparing meals. For others it will be quite different.
In this section you can see lots of behaviours that other people have changed. I hope these are helpful.
