Many diets promise fast weight reduction. Many people fail with these diets. Lose 3 kilos in 2 weeks etc. The Beah Diet makes no such claims.
I prefer to take a long view. Set realistic goals. Make changing the way I eat permanent. I don’t want to ‘go’ on a diet I want to re-educate myself about eating. I want to take control of myself. My weight. My eating. The me I want to be, not the me I always see.
So I want to make changes that are realistic. That take into account my love of cake. I don’t want to be told I can’t eat this, or that. I want to eat cake, but not every day. I want to be in control more than I want cake every day.
So I need to take the long view. If I eat cake today it’s not the end of the world. It’s not the end of the diet. Coz it’s not really a diet, it’s more a way of living, a ways of eating.
My goal will be long term. Over 3 months. Over 6 months. Over 12 months and beyond.
I’ll keep my view on the long term. So it doesn’t matter if I eat cake today, as long as I don’t eat it everyday. 🙂
