Portion Control – The Beast of the Buffet
The only thing that will help me to lose a bit of weight is to reduce the amount and sort of food I eat. Yes exercise will help, but all the research tells us that the most important thing is how much and what I eat.
Buffets are a disaster. They are an opportunity to over eat massively. I can graze. I can have a bit of this and a bit of that. I can keep going. I can have more.
I need to change my approach to buffets.
And a simple one.
So here’s the change. I get a plate. I put the food I am going to eat on the plate. I eat that food and I do not go back for more. One plateful. That’s enough. That’s my limit. It’s tasty food so one pate will be enough.
